Obviously I don't like paying more, however both the paying and overall player bases have been steadily decreasing for a while now (including the french version), so they're hoping more new players buy into hero mode while on the other hand banking that the longtime players maintain their subscriptions and offset the price decrease. It is more than fair to discount long term subscription purchases, same as what you'd expect from a magazine subscription, gym membership or online games. People may start keen and determined to use the service for the selected period, but they are taking the risk of paying upfront and statistically a certain number of them will not use it to the end of that period (if they do, they are likely to continue purchasing). It is easier and preferable for a business to be able to manage their budget for staff/upgrades/users/etc and providing consistent service when they can plan ahead with some certainty. Due to the discount ending and a record high of AUD vs EUR I have bought another 6 month package which turned out to be 193 days. I just hope they don't go the way of a certain Australian computer GAME seller who was pushing staff to sell Diablo3 pre-orders to then go into liquidation and offer no refunds (use paypal & credit card). |

SnilueyOnly thing what im dissapointed about is, that they removed the consecutive buying bonus. As a buyer, who buys small amounts, This was very good reason to continue buying. I could have gotten 4 extra days already.
I never even knew there was a "consecutive buying bonus"... |

The 6 month price jump is STEEP. I could barely justify what I was already paying for it. I don't think I can justify it anymore. I still have a lot of hero days left to consider whether I purchase more, but right now, I'm leaning toward no. God knows they've certainly made it so I'll never spot someone hero days "just because" again. I've purchased almost a year in hero days for other people by sending them money through paypal and having them purchase. Those days are done. I feel the same. And that's sad. |

I get your point but you're hugely exaggerating (50 cents per hour is several factors over 5 cents per day no, its not at all. 25% increase. losing 50 cents an hour from an average wage is not as big a jump as a 25% increase in price so actually that comparison was too lenient. , and the working weekends has nothing to do with something as stupid as the camera bug what aren't you getting here? It's a comparison/metaphor/analagy/tool to help you understand. you simply aren't getting it right, especially when you say we were getting a discount. now thats plain nonsense. have a look at any other game that costs as mcuh as this one and compare the detail in the game/customer support/bug fixes and you 'should' see, quite obviously that the gap is vast. so far in this thread its seems there is only 1 person defending the price change. that should tell you something. MT hasn't responded to any of this and is unlikely to do so anytime soon. hero days have gone missing all over the place, myself included, people not getting the camera which they paid for. and this is all being defended? im genuinely baffled by that outlook |

Ok... let's try to put it another way. Your work needs to decrease your pay by 50 cents per hour. It's not much, but it adds up, right? (this is the price increase) Oh btw, here's a few more responsibilities that we need you to take on. (this is the package size decrease) Oh yeah... and we'll need you to work weekends too. Unpaid, of course. (that's the camera loss) Hopefully we'll get our schedule worked out soon so we don't need you to keep working weekends, but hey... we're well known for mismanagement of time so who knows when and if that'll actually happen. In the meantime... see you Saturday! I get your point but you're hugely exaggerating (50 cents per hour is several factors over 5 cents per day, and the working weekends has nothing to do with something as stupid as the camera bug). Anyway... Forget it. I understand we're not in agreement but we'll just have to leave it at that, mostly because I'm getting tired of arguing about this and I'm getting tired of everyone (not implying you) raging about these sorts of trivial things every week or two, as well as raging at myself for giving a shit about such trivial things; I'm getting too old for this crap. This is disappointing. I mean, if they're going to force an unjustified price increase on us, they could at least get it right... right? It's just another half-cocked, knee-jerk change that hasn't been thought through or overseen properly, and they expect us to pay extra for this privilege. |

i'm not sure if they took all 14 bonus days away. i had 7 days left and bought the "200 day" package. my soul showed 200 days in my hero day bank. i lost 7 days somewhere. i pm'd epoq immediately and haven't received a response yet. |

No, I understand the outcry, I just don't think it's justified, that's all. With the exception of the possible camera thing, but I'd assume that'll be fixed if it's actually an issue. |

You were all subsidized by the new heroes all along. You used more of the MT services than anyone, by definition, since you played every day and got a discount for it. You checked the froums more, you checked your soul more, etc. The noobs? They carried you. One day here, one day there, that's all they did. Some noobs just forgot about it after buying hero days; money in your pocket. Now that you're doing the math, what is your big outcry? A couple cents more per day? Give me a break. |

I'm kind of speechless with this news. I hadn't really commented previously in this thread about my dislike of paying more - but to be paying more for less? Someone from MT should have really posted this in this thread |

CreatexSeriously? Did they remove the 14 day bonus so the price change looks slightly less bad? That would be the icing on the d*** move cake.
You mean that much worse... so not only did they raise the price, they took away the 14 bonus days. despite the release saying it's a "200 day package", the purchase page says 6 months and does not refer to the 14 day bonus that used to appear (where the 3 month package *does* mention the 5 bonus days). it's been said before and they just keep proving it to be true. MT = Master Trolls edited to add: the icing on the icing of the dick move cake - I wonder if pre-war camera is now tied to a "200 day" purchase and now that it's only 186, if that's why people in the help threads aren't getting it anymore... |

just bought six months. it looks like i only got 186 days instead of 200. at about 0.25 euros a day it's better than the new prices but still a little disappointing. |

kiwilukeghost: you've done your calculations wrong, divide price by days not days by price, so 6 months is still cheapest but only barely
Okay, let's try this again. Was going to go to the second decimal place again, but after doing the 200-day package I saw going to the third shows that there is still a slight advantage tot he 200-day over the 98-day package, if only just barely, as kiwiluke said. |

kiwilukeAnd in fact the larger fees are due to Australian Telecoms Companies demanding higher transaction fees. Zong itself charges the same fees in every country. So your mobile provider is charging close to 40% transaction fee
Yep! I wonder what Canadian cell phone providers charge. I bet we pay $50 to the US' $10 XD. Greenwing AnnetteDiscounting days that most committed to the game will buy regardless. Basically this means that from now on I will buy 1 or 3 months again and when I'm out check again when I will buy more (resulting in several months of non-hero in between). I think they should make the prices for larger amount of days relatively cheaper. It encourages people to stick to the game which is a good thing I said MOST for a damn good reason. |
