PigovIn the end, it went perfect. If MK would have subscribed by its own, it would be even more perfect...
Double it. I wanted to see MK in CotC |

I disagree. No one could have know how many people would really want to face the behemots of our server. What if we would have ended up with 12 strong clans, and then 4 "alones" would have decided to board the train? |

LoppermannI wonder how many clans would be in the pro league if the announcement had 100% guaranteed that the top 16 clans would get a prize.
I have to agree - that this small disclaimer have worked against the preferred setup and we also failed to make the pact for more clans to join PRO. Still, I hope that all will end well and the prizes will stay not adjusted. |

I think Piemaster makes a good point. The only reason smaller clans are in line for rewards is because some of the larger clans weren't willing to try their luck. Although I do understand the decision of these clans to join the amateur league given the very open ended disclaimer regarding pro league prizes. |

Guys, calm down about the prizes... Cotc code doesn't matter, Epoq can give separate prizes from the cotc code, if he wants to. Or not to give, in case of French Connection and Alone |

The effect of cutting down prizes to the finalists only (that being the top 4 clans of each group) would be terrible indeed. First of all you will have 8 annoyed clans (rank 9-16) feeling ripped of their deserved reward. But secondly you will see the utter destuction of the Pro league in the long run. So instead of criticizing small clans that go for Pro we should be thankful that they fill up the ranks to 16 or even more. And respect the guts to try not to be the last in the group and get a prize in Pro, while stronger clans "play it safe" and only go for Amateur league. If the 16 best clans in Pro are rewarded this time we might even have 19-20 next time under the same conditions that are willing to try for top 16. |

I really hope the prizes don't change and I don't think they need to. If the pairings are Swiss-like there is little to no danger of Alone finishing above a legit clan. And as for French Connection getting a napo well... good luck to them. We knew the T16 in pro would get a napo so if the 16th best clan didn't want to step up and claim it, then why shouldn't another clan? |

The whole compromise topic misled you. In my whole experience on CotC, from 1st FR CotC to 7th and from 1st EN CotC to this 3rd, in leagues format, the rewards were only given to qualified clans in final phase. That's also why: I am actually worried that Kayin is right as the coded system will not allow any other option to hand out the prizes. But I really, really hope that Epoq will clarify this soon and figure out a way around it. Otherwise this event will turn out VERY bad and disappointing for many TOP players. |

If epoq knows what is right for this server (and he gets it most of the times), all real 15 participants will get prizes. Unless maybe one doesn't fight at all on porpoise for example. If that will not be the case, we will see a lot of teams joining the lower ranks next time. To be honest, I would have made a real amateur league: no napos as prizes, but big gold prizes. As a starter player, you need that much more. Big clans would have not joined, since napos are more important for them. |

yeah its been stated that top 16 get one napo, to make it at least appealing to 16 clans, so that we dont have such an debacle as we had in cotc 1. |

KayinThe whole compromise topic misled you.If there are only 8 prize places in Pro and 16 prize places in Amateur, then the prizes in Amateur are better overall, with 7 single napo prizes vs 0 single napo prizes in Pro. Seriously, giving over half the participants in Pro nothing, would be a serious black eye to the EN dinorpg server. |

BengeldornSo you have spoken to epoq or an admin about it?
Why don't they announce it then? Well in the first COTC my clan got into the final phase and epoq(?) still changed the rewards and we didn't get a prize. All that because there were less clans in the finals, I think 12 because we had 3 groups. |

There was never any chance of having 32 Pro teams in the qualifying phase, so the prizes listed for the top 16 wouldn't have ever been possible or made any sense. The rank 8-16 prizes will still happen for Pro teams that are trying... otherwise, there will be heck to pay. If the 7 mid ranked clans that don't get into the top eight get nothing, then the whole league system is a failure that penalizes mid ranked clans. |

TeaRexThe prizes are given to teams that enter the final phase. If they can't enter, then they can't get rewards. Unless epoq (the admin) has a way and wants to go around that.

BengeldornWell, if that's the case, it should be announced NOW, not during/after the group stage.

I'm sure Epoq will be very generous and fulfill his word, and not disappoint us.
