Towns for the Clash of the Titans will be opening tomorrow. Tuesday the 12th of June. To give everyone some extra time to wind-up their current towns, and ensure they are present and correct, the Clash itself (ie the first night of zombie attacks) will not begin until WEDNESDAY the 13th.

Town Passwords will be issued to the town leaders tomorrow morning and they will be in touch during the day to allow you to join your town when you are ready! Town leaders will all join their towns on wednesday (ideally as early as possible...) and the event will be underway!

We invite you to suggest names for your town in the comments/forum.

Get ready!

ps... Residents - keep an eye on the news over the coming days. You don't want to miss this ;)

marvinmarvin - what town were you supposed to be in?

marvinmarvin

question about the lists: were they changed, eliminated, etc after the initial backup then main list signup thing cause I wont be sleeping well when people say that my friends are in and I am only backup when I was the one that organised my friends.

(and yes I double checked)

tech town II did not fill before registration ended on friday and is off the table. every other town filled and had back-ups but the lists had not even begun to be vetted until the town founders were named early today, and the vast majority of back-ups were already primary in another town. at this point none of the 9 towns have 40 fully confirmed. it's all still in the process but it doesn't look like we are going to see any town mergers from the existing 9. we should have them all filled by attack tomorrow if not well before.

i don't mean to single you out, Ghost, but your speculation in particular, coming as it does from a respected and prolific wf poster who is nonetheless not involved and not fully informed, is not helping matters.

Was just about to edit my post to say that. :hordes_surprise:

Actually, Tech Town II is off the map, it must have been cancelled without warning.

I don't know. If I heard correctly, private towns close after 48 hours and kick out all members inside. But, MT isn't exactly known to be bug free, so you could be trapped forever. :hordes_horreur:

Worst case scenario is Epoq shoots you in the head and you're out of the clash. :hordes_sad:

Best case scenario is you manage to recruit enough interested people to not have to find out. :hordes_lol:

What will hapen for techs II who are not complete?

Not to promote people poach from other towns, but for those towns that didn't get enough sign-ups to fill, you might consider becoming back-ups for other towns in the event last minute drop-outs leave them needing a few extra members.

Anyone also on a back-up list in a town that might be full, you might consider offering yourself as a potential back-up for other towns that might have drop-outs as well.

All it means is if Survivalists don't win, then either that book restriction really balances them, or Survivalists had 120 n00bs playing for them. :K

by class I assume you mean clash...

and yeah I got that more people wanted to be survivalist but that is my point : don't they start with more chances as there are 3 times!! more towns then the other professions??

p.s. I'm just wondering 'cause the Guardians are gonna win either way! ;)

Ghost
Ghost (On 12 June 2012)

First class had one and only one town for each class.

Second class is opening more towns for more people to participate.

It happened that popular demand generated 3 survivalist towns.

MrOmega

I see 3 survivalist towns, 2 tamers....
Is that why the survivors won last time, sheer numbers? lol
I mean if the idea is to find out which class is best, shouldn't ALL the starting conditions be the same?

i know babs, i know - there is a very real possibilty of delay, but we need everyone to continue the confirmation process and be on stand-by until we know otherwise for a certainty.

buckminster - the problem is we still don't have a town founder :tid_cry:

Thane, you must be able to be a hero throughout the duration of the event. as long as you are able to purchase more days before those 3 run out, you're fine. if not, please step aside for someone else.

buckminster
buckminster (On 12 June 2012)

Ghost, i recognize you are trying to be helpful (and hopeful) but we town founders haven't heard of any change in plans from epoq as of now, and there is activity ongoing that shows he is currently working on the forming the towns, so it's a bit counter-productive for those of us who have been working on getting the lists confirmed since being initally contacted 7 hours ago to suggest that people may be able to sit on their hands for a day.

if you have been contacted for confirmation, please continue to assume that the stated start time is still valid until otherwise officially stated by epoq or your town founder.

I have 3 hero days now and I'm already on the town list. So can I join with 3 days or must have more?
