The standard of fight in the Inter Dojo Tournament just keeps going up! This event saw yet another array of impressive battles, and an excellent demonstration of IDT strategy from our multi-IDT champion, DRUID2K! Druid2k has been a highly-respected combattant on the server for some time now, an remains one of the last names you want to see next to yours in the draw!

Now usually we'd give you a brief summary of the event, but Druid has given us a Champion's-eye view of IDT 18 so without further ado, ladies and gentlemen; your champion - Druid2k!

It took me a long time to choose from my dinoz, the two fire heavy assault-rockies are my favorites, so they were in in no-time. My new breed of cloudoz (fujin, of course) was something that I wanted to try, so he was the third one, and in the two remaining spots came two level 50 water-heavy winks. I was thinking until the last minute whether to choose the one with bubble or the one with acrobat (in a group, where only a few dinoz have bubble, speed counts more). I chose the bubbled one.

I chose Temporal Manipulator, because it is the most powerful magic item in the game so far, and also equipped beer, because I dont want that to be used against me, so this way it will be clear: no healing for anybody! Both items work great with the two torches, and I wont get initiative-lock by detonate and vines, and no mass frenzy from the demon kittens, thank you!

Feature matches:

- In the first round in my group I faced Youcoulele. I knew that if I beat him, I would surely grab the napo - this was my only concern at that time. It was a good fight, I was victorious, so the napo was safe. (The other masters in the group have only 3 heavy dinoz,

- In the finals I met Sithis first. I knew him from under the devourer, fought him many time with my rockies, I was not afraid of him.

- The next one was the toughest match of the dojo for me: Epoxy with the dreaded all-bubble-TM-beer group. He defeated Squamph, one of the strongest master in the server, so I put this match 40-60 (40 for me). Somehow I managed to defeat his dinoz, a wonderful surprise for me! (And this was the round where my clanmate Mohnkahn lost his match - we would be so glad to meet in the final of a dojo!!! Maybe next time.. )

- After Epoxy came Vincecarter. Last time we met was in the 4th dojo, fighting in the final. I thought this to be an easy match: against 3 wanwans I had a good team. The TM+beer is really killing the kittens. But I almost slept through the fight due to the heavy use of amazon by the cats! Almost lost this one, but finally 2 of my bubble-dinoz survived against only one (bubble) winks, and they overran it!

- I was thinking that the final was an easy one compared to the last two fights. But wait! this guy defeated Mohnkahn! So it would be unwise to become overconfident in this situation. My opponent LuxR had 2x flood, fujin from the cloudoz, and he used chen's potions to great effect! So I put some potions in too (ember and st elmo) just to counter uvavu, and hoped for the best. Lucky for me in the final no flood-liquid-petrification swarm happened, and there was no early fujin - so my dinoz was able to defeat the opponent with strength only. My smile was less than genuine when I got an uvavu-fujin-uvavu combo in my face. Luckily my goal for taking out LuxR's rocky ASAP was completed by that time, so I managed to win this dojo!
