You must use :_hotel.en_okbase_25: to earn more :_hotel.en_okbase_25:. If you can't earn as much :_hotel.en_okbase_25: you need, spend all your :_hotel.en_okbase_25: on stuff that can make you more :_hotel.en_okbase_25: like upgrading bedrooms, more emploees moneymakers like Astrp-Gastro, Waste Disposal etc. then try to save agein, if you still can't earn it, do it again untill you can.

DavidYhEEAAany tip to get money ?Where you are right now, I wouldn't worry too much about money in the short term. Invest for the long term instead:
Feed guests into your Institute until you've maxed out your Lab points. The Lab will leverage a lot of :_hotel.en_okbase_25: making or saving options for you, from reducing the cost of doing things like building rooms, gifting Tokens of satisfaction for room service, paying taxes, etc.

More rooms means more room for paying guests. More satisfied guests means higher payouts at midnight and on departure. Less cost for building rooms or lowering taxation means more :_hotel.en_okbase_25: left to do other things.

The Lab also provides :_hotel.en_okbase_25: boosts for many guest types such as Blobs, Fish, Plants, etc. either through directly increasing their payouts or by improving their Satisfaction which improves their payouts.

You won't be able to do all of these things as a starting Hotel, but you can pick the ones that look likely to be used by you often, giving the best return. One low hanging fruit is to reduce repair costs, which you'll always be paying out as guests and random events damage your rooms.

I fully agree with Kompera, but bare in mind that all of those lab options are long term moneymakers as they return your investment over time.
If you plan to bequeath as soon as you can - and you can bequeath very soon with a 0-star hotel - you might not get back as much as expected, because after a bequeath you have to start from scratch again.
If you want to stay a long time on your first hotel instead, go for all the lab points and upgrades you like.

The 'room service' type things (laundromatix, Lustro-Pump, etc., they show up green when you're selecting what to build) are good to have because they increase satisfaction and help you complete quests.

The 'money makers' (Astro-Gastro, Disco, etc., they show up purple when you're selecting what to build (note: So does the Institute)) are not so great for a beginning hotel. They cost money which could be used to build a guest room which will bring in much more money. They also pay off slowly over time, and if you're focused on bequeathing you'll probably never see any return on the investment.

You don't 'use' them, they just get visited randomly by guests which like the thing they produce. Your Astro-Gastro will be visited by guests who like food, and they'll pay 5:_hotel.en_okbase_25: for the visit. So you'll need a lot of visits just to break even, and you're relying un the random likes of a guest to even get any visitors at all.

In a much larger hotel these issues go away. With many more guests there's probably always a guest on hand who likes what the money maker produces, and it can be hard to completely fill a large hotel with guests so there's no loss of guest room revenue. I built 1 money maker in my 1 star hotel, and I think 2 in my 2 star hotel. After that I've built a whole set.

David, I've sent you a mysterious package. Someone needs to explain to Adoy that sending you a guest with 2 dislikes is...stupid? A mysterious package should ALWAYS like neighbors. And if you're trying to really be helpful, it should provide an emanation which is needed by another guest, and like the emanation of that guest.
.
And I think you're wasting time and money providing a dogsbody for Adoy. Mysterious packages do not pay, they only give 1 Satisfaction if you get them to 10. You'll never get it to 10 Satisfaction, and your dogsbody should be at your desk drawing in useful guests. I'd move Adoy to the Institute.

.
I'd have posted this to your hotel rather than here, but for some reason I cannot post to your hotel...

My first Lab points always go to the DIY-guys. That starts saving you money on all repairs.
