A Token of appreciation is a small gift you can give to a client, it automatically increases their satisfaction by 1.

You may also send a "Dogsbody" in the room of a guest to take care of them and when they're done you have a chance of increasing their satisfaction. Beware that's not always the case and this can also lead to decreasing satisfaction. You can decrease the chance of this happening by spending research points in the Lab on a tier 2 specialization called Doctor Feelgood.
